India as a Growth Market

The premium wine segment in India is growing, driven by rising affluence, lifestyle shifts, and expanding food & beverage culture.Australian wines benefit from a tariff advantage under the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (AI-ECTA). However, many small-to-medium Australian producers lack the time or local expertise to access this complex but promising market.

Our Role in the Export Value Chain

We intend to act as a market development partner for boutique and premium Australian wineries, with services tailored to their needs.

Market Representation

Representing Australian brands directly to Indian wine importers, HORECA buyers, and retailers. Negotiating exclusivity or long-term sales channels.

Compliance & Coordination

Navigating Indian import laws (FSSAI labelling, BIS registration, customs requirements). Coordinating shipping, cold chain logistics, and import documentation.

Marketing & Promotion

Organising targeted wine tastings and sampling programs in India. Developing digital assets and pitch decks for Indian buyers. Liaising with chefs, sommeliers, and influencers for premium positioning.

Wine Tourism & Storytelling

Exploring wine tours in Australian regions tailored to Indian buyers or luxury travellers. Creating content and virtual tasting experiences to deepen market engagement.

Northvale Collective was born from a shared desire to bring the best in food and wine to global consumers. The founders, friends since high school, have studied, lived, and worked in the same cities and countries across the world. Over the years, they’ve shared countless memories of weekend (and often mid-week) gatherings with friends—always over great food and drinks.Their passion for fine food and drink only deepened with time, eventually leading to the creation of Northvale Collective.
